HAWKS FC is a successful English Football Accredited Club and registered Charity based in Kettering , Northamptonshire. The club's home is Kettering Sports Club with a picturesque private members sports ground off Northampton Road, Kettering.

We pride ourselves in being a true grassroots football club with strong values and high standards.

The original Hawks team was started with 8 youngsters aged 5 in 2008. They joined the Weetabix Youth Football League , in Kettering , Northants in 2009.

The club moved to Kettering Sports Club in 2012 where we are still based. Hawks FC runs the football section of the wider Sports club. Hawks Football Club obtained charitable status a year later in 2015. We are affiliated under the Northamptonshire Football Association .

The club has strong values around participation. We make sure all youngsters get fair playing time and opportunities in our teams. The club has a Player pitch time guarantee to ensure all players are treated fairly. The club offers the best value for money football in the local area.

We are an Northants FA approved "Right Minded" club linked to our strong values and support towards making grassroots football a child friendly place where children and young people can enjoy the game.

In 2017 the club started developing a successful mini-soccer section and now attracts youngsters from the Kettering Leisure Village area for its younger age teams. The mini soccer section has 4 teams from aged 7 to 12 in the Weetabix league. In 2023 the Hawks Fusion U10s became the first team at the club to win a trophy.

The original Hawks Torcida team were the one remaining team of the 2008-09 league intake entry to complete the full 13 year youth football cycle from Under 6s to Under 18s in 2022 in the local area. They completed their youth grassroots football cycle with a ground-breaking and successful tour of Portugal in 2023.

The Torcida team kept some of the original Hawks players who are still playing and are involved at the club.

The three families connected with the establishment of Hawks are still actively involved in the running of the club ensuring its founding values remain strong.

The Club has its own DNA and 10 Core Values centred around setting high standards linked to how football can make a difference to young peoples lives. Hawks Teams like to play attractive and exciting football taking plenty of risks to score goals.

Hawks FC had very humble beginnings having formed with only £20. Today we play at our own club ground which is the envy of many local clubs with its beautiful pitches and top of the range UEFA goals and equipment.

Our own ground and equipment means all year round football for all the clubs teams and youngsters.

FIXTURE SCHEDULE

With more snow and waterlogged pitches all over the league the fixture schedule is constantly changing so keep an eye on the app for dates

There is a big Backlog of cup games which the league will make priority as they have the scheduled date for the finals. Cups games have now been postponed for a second week running so are being moved to next week which effects us as we were due to play Wellingborough. There isn’t anything we can do. The 7 games left will now be all after the easter holidays through until mid May. On one hand we could do with games now but at least we get to play all the home games down the club on our nice pitch in good weather in late April / May.

TRESHAM

This Friday is the last week of the booking and then we can start down the Cricket club after Easter.

PERSIMMON HOMES AWARD

This awards ceremony is on Thursday where we will find out how well we did, thanks for those that voted. Voting is now closed.

HAWKS ON TOUR

We are looking to invest some of our funds in the boys and can fully fund an away trip for the team to go to Train and play at Norwich City for a weekend this summer. A bit more ambitious but achievable with some help is to start to plan for an overseas tour next summer to Portugal as couple of grassroots teams there are keen to play us.

For this summer, Norwich have a fantastic facility called the Nest and I have been to see it. They can offer us a full weekend there and it’s really impressive with all accommodation and food at the site. It’s looking like a Friday night arrival for an Xbox tournament, Saturday training session with the Academy and then we go and watch a first team match at the stadium. We get to play a game under lights against an academy team and they are offering a FA Young Leaders Qualification for the boys as part of a small session they run. They are waiting on fixtures and friendlies and then I can look at dates for this summer.

FA COACHES

Some FA Tutors and UEFA coaches will be down at the club over the early summer to run a session for the team. A few other coaches may be there as part of the FA Level 2 course I am doing. There will be a second session where they observe my work.

CRICKET

The Cricket section have asked I let you know winter nets have started and anyone wanting to get involved is welcome. Outdoor training is after Easter. It’s good to try different sports and Mark & Tom play. All ages can attend. Let me know if you want details. Sign on is 5th April at the clubhouse, nets are Wednesday’s evening at KSA.

PLAYERS

I’m looking to get an advert out for a Goalkeeper and defender & get some adverts out at schools for mini Hawks.
