Coaching Opportunities at Hawks - Level 1 Course in November

14 Oct 2017 by James Bambridge - Hawks FC

Coaching is a rewarding pastime and hobby for all of us coaching at the club.

We are looking for additional coaches at the club as we are in touch with some schools regards getting some reception aged children playing and we are thinking of the future and everyones Future commitments .All of us are involved in other volunteers groups , have study commitments and also at the sports club doing other things with the main committee. We lost a coach last season when he moved house. The under 14s need help as well as It won’t be possible to run the line ,coach and organise all the things we do on match days without more help next season.

We like to get youngsters involved in coaching to develop there leadership skills . We hope some of our current young players will be future coaches and they would be welcome to help support us with a reception aged team if they are interested and we can get something off the ground.

We feel, we need to recruit people who will be around for some time and who can provide the level of commitment we all do. There are many things that happen away from the game we have to also do and we need to ensure coaches fit in with the club coaching philosophy and club values .

There are currently spaces on a course at Tresham in November and the club can support the cost of this under the Bursary schemes available. We would like any coach to also progress to the level 2 youth modules which are essential.

Anyone is welcome to apply, male or female ( min age 16 ) and then can get involved in the coaching planning and debates. If you want to get involved please contact any of the coaches to find out more or if you know anyone else who may be interested please tell them also.
